About Me

I have completed a seven-year psychotherapy training and anticipate receiving my MA and professional qualification later this year. I'm also an academic expert in philosophy and mythology.

My therapy training has taken place at the Severnside Institute for Psychotherapy (2017-2019) and the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (2019-2026). I've spent two years at the Harbour (a charity specializing in bereavement counselling) and nearly three years on various NHS mental health teams (2024-2026).

I'm registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy, I'm fully insured, and I receive regular supervision.

I also have a PhD from Berkeley (USA) and a career in teaching and research at the University of Bristol, where I continue to work part-time as a Senior Lecturer. Among my research interests is the history of psychotherapy, with particular attention to psychoanalytic and Jungian therapies.  Please note that in order to preserve ethical boundaries, I do not work therapeutically with any students or staff I could also work with at the university.
